AVOCADO TOAST

Prep 5 mins. Serves 1 but multiply as necessary.

Avocado toast is creamy, crisp and tasty. It’s a delicious and simple breakfast, snack or light meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice of bread (from sourdough to grain bread, anything works!)

  • ½ ripe avocado

  • Pinch of GVG Salt (I prefer GVG Lemon and Garlic Salt but Original and Black Garlic Salt are delicious too)

  • Optional toppings - tomato, chopped red onion, torn fresh basil leaves, seeds. You can also add some baby spinach and a poached egg for a delicious breaky!

Instructions

  1. Toast your slice of bread until golden and firm.

  2. Remove the pit from your avocado. Use a big spoon to scoop out the flesh. Put it in a bowl and mash it up with a fork until it’s as smooth as you like it. Mix in a pinch of GVG flavoured salt and add more to taste, if desired.

  3. Spread avocado on top of your toast and sprinkle with a pinch of preferred GVG flavoured Garlic Salt. Enjoy as-is or top with any extra optional toppings.
